When an instalment recipient (1.1.R.07) is paid FTB for a past period before separating from their partner (1.1.P.30), and their former partner (1.1.F.40) advises of changes in circumstances for the period before the separation, the details should be confirmed with the instalment recipient. If the instalment recipient disputes a reported change the FAO should investigate whether the change has occurred.
Explanation: Changes in circumstance could be changes to family, income (1.1.I.20) or personal circumstances. The details of changes in circumstances need to be confirmed to ensure that the instalment recipient receives their correct FTB entitlement. Information to be verified could include the date of separation and/or care arrangements.
