This section provides information on qualification (1.1.Q.10) and payability for the Australian Government's student start-up scholarship.
The student start-up scholarship will also be payable to eligible students receiving assistance under veterans' entitlement schemes (VCES and MRCA Education and Training Scheme), DVA will be responsible for the administration of student start-up scholarship payments to these recipients.
The student start-up scholarship will be paid to qualifying students receiving YA (student) or Austudy twice a year in equal instalments. The first payment will coincide with the start of the academic year.
