This topic explains MOB reviews. This topic covers the following:
MOB reviews are undertaken periodically to ensure the recipient has continuing entitlement. The reviews may be for:
Example: To follow up direct credit details.
Act reference: SSAct section 10A(2)-'employment'
Medical reviews are conducted ONLY if a delegate considers a recipient's disability is temporary. The medical review is set for 12 months after the date of grant, when the treating doctor (1.1.T.160) gives an opinion on the permanency of the recipient's functional impairment (1.1.F.270).
All MOB recipients are subject to automatic work/training reviews 12 months from the date of grant and at each 12-month interval thereafter. Reviews are set accordingly if a recipient's circumstances are likely to change over a shorter period.
Example: A training course or employment ceases within 12 months.
A manual review should be set if training or work will stop before the next 12 month review.
Recipients in employment, including supported employment, need to have their employment details verified and reviewed along the same lines as for other recipients in gainful employment.
