An assurer must be an Australian resident as defined in SSAct section 7.
For joint AoS applications, all applicants must be Australian residents as defined in the SSAct.
Corporations (for example, businesses) must be registered in Australia under Australian law.
Unincorporated bodies that operate outside Australia will not be able to provide an AoS.
