1.2.10.20 Seniors Supplement - Description

Background

Seniors supplement was introduced on 20 September 2009 as part of major pension reforms announced in the 2009-10 Budget.

 

Seniors supplement combines the former SCA and the higher rate of TAL paid to holders of the CSHC into a single quarterly payment.

 

The final payments of SCA and TAL were paid as soon as possible after 20 September 2009.

 

How seniors supplement is paid

Seniors supplement is paid quarterly, as soon as reasonably practicable after the seniors supplement test days of 20 March, 20 June, 20 September and 20 December each year.
