Objective of FAA

FAA is paid to eligible tertiary students to cover travel costs associated with their study if they need to live away from home.

FAA covers the cost of travel for an eligible student from their permanent home to the institution at the beginning of the academic year and return at the completion of study for the year. One return journey during the year is available for some students. The cost of the cheapest practical mode of travel is covered.

How FAA is paid
