4.1.9 Hardship Provisions

Deprivation disregard

Under hardship provisions, deprivation provisions CAN be disregarded in limited circumstances.

 

For hardship provisions to apply the person MUST be receiving a:

  • a social security pension (section 23(1)-'social security pension'), OR
  • a social security benefit (section 23(1)-'social security benefit').
