The parental assets test was introduced as of 20 September 1990. This table shows the limits, in dollars, for single recipients under 18.

These notes relate to parental assets test limits - September 1990 to January 1997:

A

The parental assets test is indexed annually every January. First indexation was January 1991.

B

For saved cases only (i.e. existing recipients as of 1 January 1995).

C

For YTA & SA cases granted after 1 January 1995.

D

The parental assets test was aligned for all under 18 payments.
