These notes relate to the DVA Rates - January 1994 to after January 1995:

Service Pensions (section 23(1)-'service pension') are the same rate as Age Pensions.

Notes	Explanation
A	These rates are indexed each March and September.
B	These rates are indexed each September.
C	EDA payment was introduced on 1 December 1988. It is payable to extremely disabled veterans who: - are receiving 100% Disability Pension, - have reached retiring age, - are not receiving an Intermediate or Special Rate Pension, and - satisfy medical criteria. The EDA is payable at 50% of the general rate and is treated as income (section 8(1)-'income') for social security purposes.
D	From 1 November 1986, Social Security Pension (section 23(1)-'social security pension') is payable subject to a ceiling of $120.10 a fortnight to recipients of WWP.
E	These rates are indexed each January.
F	Domestic allowance is now absorbed into the basic pension, but still shown separately by DVA.
