9.1.2.50 Permanent Residents of Norfolk Island

Introduction

People who are permanent residents of Norfolk Island and who are not Australian citizens must apply at the point of entry for a visa to stay in Australia.

 

Permanent residents of Norfolk Island holding an indefinite stay visa are Australian residents for the purposes of claiming social security payments, as long as they are residing in Australia.
