- Achieve a more consistent approach to disability access and opportunity issues across FaHCSIA.
- Ensure that disability access and opportunity issues are considered in existing planning and reporting processes.
- Develop tools to help staff understand and meet the needs of people with disabilities. We should record action taken in considering disability access and opportunity issues when developing and reviewing policy and programs, and when purchasing goods and services.
- Educate staff about our responsibility for ensuring that people with disabilities have equal access and opportunities to be involved in our policies, programs, services and employment. It is not just an issue for staff working on disability specific programs or in human resources areas.
- Improve the accessibility of our information products for people with disabilities.
- Ensure that the needs of staff with disabilities continue to be met.
