Case Based Funding Financial Modelling Tool for Business Services
In the 2003-2004 Federal Budget, the former Department of Family and Community Services (the former FaCS) undertook to develop a Financial Modelling Tool for Disability Employment Assistance service providers to help them to prepare for the implementation of Case Based Funding.
The Financial Modelling Tool enables service providers to model the effects on their funding during transition from Block Grant Funding to Case Based Funding. Services are able to use information on how they operate to predict how they can manage cash flow, for example, increasing cash flow by filling places as soon as they become vacant and getting better outcome rates.
