The Aboriginals Benefit Account Advisory Committee advises the Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs on, Aboriginals Benefit Account (ABA), payments for projects that will benefit Aboriginal people living in the Northern Territory. Decisions about what initiatives will be funded are made by the Minister.
Committee meetings
The next meeting of the Committee is scheduled for 16-20 April 2012.
Applications for ABA funding must usually be lodged at least eight weeks before meetings to be eligible for consideration at that meeting.
ABA Advisory Committee Membership
The committee is made up of:
- a Chair appointed by the Minister for a three year term
- 14 members elected by the four Northern Territory Land Councils.

She brings to her role extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, working with governments at all levels, to improve the economic, social and community health of Indigenous Northern Territorians.
Mrs Brahim has extensive expertise in business development, housing, land agreements, native title, health and community services, and community development.
