The Government has announced reforms to the Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) program and the Indigenous Employment Program (IEP). Most job seekers living in remote areas of the Northern Territory now have to look for work or participate in work-related activities in order to receive income-support payments. The Government introduced changes to move Indigenous people out of Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) and into paid employment.
